MEET THE MAKERS
Witt & Berg
Witt and Berg was founded as a father and son team while converting an industrial building into a spectacular townhouse. It has been amazing working with Sam to choose the baths and brassware. Everything is beautifully made and fits perfectly with our aim to ‘buy once and buy well’. The Witt and Berg philosophy is centred around a desire to create incredible spaces born from materials that should only enhance with age.
Ann is a local artisan who makes the most beautiful handmade stoneware. Each piece is individually handcrafted by Ann, glazed in her workshop and fired in the kiln at the bottom of her garden. While growing up, one of Anne’s pieces was always the favourite bowl in my parents kitchen. These two sinks are the third and fourth sinks she has ever made. It is such a privilege to be a part of her story. Thank you Ann! These sinks will be installed in Bertie and Penelope alongside the Witt & Berg baths.
Ashurst Detailing x UK Defenders
Sally is a superb Land Rover Defender TD5 who has lived in Sussex her whole life. Don from Ashurst Detailing worked in collaboration with Harry and his team at UK Defenders to transform her into a beautiful heritage tribute with a nod to the very first Land Rover HUE166. She was given a full respray in Grasmere Green, full underseal, new interior carpets and seat covers and a complete set of rims and tyres. Massive thank you to Don and Harry for doing such a superb job! Sally will be used to tow Bertie and Penelope and to transport guests from the station to site.
Philip popped into my life after he moved into a house where I used to live and gave me the happy news that, after many years of waiting, an owl family had moved into the owl house I made there. He is the most incredible photographer and has worked all around the world taking photos for a wide range of industries all the way from fashion to extreme sports. Philip, thank you for the shoot with Sally up on Ashdown Forest! I am looking forward to working with you more as crAve grows.
Blackhorse Lane Ateliers
After around 2 years looking for a really solid pair of jeans made in the UK, I stumbled across Blackhorse Lane Ateliers in Coal Drops Yard. 100% made in their East London factory, these jeans are a perfect match for the values of Crave Nature® and will form part of our uniform. The video shows Will working his magic to turn up the bottoms to fit my leg length. Thank you Will!
