Meet the makers

Baths and Brassware

Witt and Berg was founded as a father and son team while converting an industrial building into a spectacular townhouse. It has been amazing working with Sam to choose the baths and brassware. Everything is beautifully made and fits perfectly with our aim to ‘buy once and buy well’. The Witt and Berg philosophy is centred around a desire to create incredible spaces born from materials that should only enhance with age.

Sinks and Stoneware

Ann is a local artisan who makes the most beautiful handmade stoneware. Each piece is individually handcrafted by Ann, glazed in her workshop and fired in the kiln at the bottom of her garden. While growing up, one of Anne’s pieces was always the favourite bowl in my parents kitchen. These two sinks are the third and fourth sinks she has ever made. It is such a privilege to be a part of her story.

For years I have been looking for well-fitted British jeans. While walking though Coal Drops Yard in King’s Cross London I found the Blackhorse Lane Ateliers store. Wil finished the jeans to size while I waited. I have been wearing their jeans ever since and will never look back. Superb service, beautifully made and repairs are free of charge (assuming the jeans are clean…). Each member of crAve staff will get a pair of BLA jeans when joining or they may even do a workshop with BLA to make their own pair of jeans!

Willows Sawmill is a local family run business. It is an absolute paradise of timber – whole trees all the way down to air dried boards. In the video clip, Kevin is sawing the final pieces of timber for steam bending. All of the interior woodwork for the bathrooms and tent units will be made using oak from Willows Sawmill.
